MIDDLE DANUBE. Uncertain tribe. Circa 2nd century BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 25 mm, 13.51 g, 9 h), 'Dreizack und Triskeles' type, imitating Audoleon of Paeonia. Celticized laureate head of Zeus to right. Rev. Celticized horseman to right, wearing helmet with long crest; to upper left, trident head; above, ΛΠΙV; to right, Y above zig-zag pattern; below foreleg, triskeles. CCCBM S119. Dembski 1332. Flesche 549. Lanz 711. OTA 415/1 (same dies). Minor marks and struck from a slightly worn obverse die, otherwise, about extremely fine.
